Introduction
This Privacy Policy describes how FB Pages & Groups Scraper ("the Extension") collects, uses, and protects your data. We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about our practices.
Data We Collect
The Extension collects the following data:
- Facebook Content: Public posts, author names, timestamps, engagement metrics (likes, comments, shares), and media URLs from Facebook Pages and Groups you choose to scrape.
- License Key: Your DodoPayments license key for Pro subscription validation.
- Settings: User preferences (max posts, sort order) stored locally.
Important: All scraped Facebook content is stored locally in your browser. We do not upload, transmit, or store your scraped data on any external servers.
How We Use Your Data
- Facebook Content: Displayed locally in the Extension popup for you to view and export.
- License Key: Validated with DodoPayments to verify your Pro subscription status.
- Settings: Remember your preferences between sessions.
Data Storage
- All scraped data is stored in Chrome's local storage on your device.
- Data remains on your device and is never transmitted to our servers.
- You can delete stored data at any time through the Extension's history section.
- Uninstalling the Extension removes all stored data.
Third-Party Services
The Extension uses the following third-party services:
- DodoPayments: Used for license key validation and subscription management. When you activate or validate a license key, it is sent to DodoPayments' servers. DodoPayments' privacy policy applies to this data. View DodoPayments Privacy Policy
- Cloudflare Workers: Our license validation proxy. Sends only the license key to DodoPayments. No other data is collected or stored.
Data We Do NOT Collect
- Personal identification information
- Browsing history outside of Facebook
- Login credentials or passwords
- Payment information (handled entirely by DodoPayments)
- Analytics or tracking data
- Cookies
Data Sharing
We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer your data to third parties, except:
- License key validation with DodoPayments (as described above)
- When required by law
Chrome Web Store Data
This Extension complies with the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy and the Limited Use requirements.
Children's Privacy
The Extension is not intended for use by children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify users of any material changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
