People Data Scraper
Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 22, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how the People Data Scraper Chrome extension (the “Extension”) accesses, uses, stores, and shares information when you use it.
1. Information the Extension processes
When you choose to scrape a supported LinkedIn people-search or individual-profile page, the Extension may process information visible on that page, including:
- Names, profile URLs, profile images, headlines, locations, and connection information.
- Current and previous roles, companies, dates, locations, and descriptions.
- Education, skills, certifications, volunteering, projects, publications, awards, languages, and recommendations.
- The search query and other visible search-result information.
- Anonymous information displayed by LinkedIn, such as “LinkedIn Member,” when LinkedIn does not expose a name or profile URL.
The Extension also processes settings such as maximum result count and sort preference.
2. How information is used
Scraped information is used only to provide the Extension’s user-facing functions: displaying results, retaining recent scrape history, sorting results, and creating JSON or CSV exports requested by you.
We do not use scraped information for advertising, profiling, credit decisions, data brokerage, or sale to third parties.
3. Local storage and retention
- Scraped results and settings are stored in Chrome local storage on your device.
- The Extension retains up to 3 recent scrapes for free users and up to 100 recent scrapes for Pro users.
- JSON and CSV files are created locally only when you request an export and are saved using your browser’s download functionality.
- Removing the Extension deletes its Chrome local-storage data. You may also clear the Extension’s data through Chrome’s extension or site-data controls.
4. License and subscription information
If you activate or validate a Pro license, the Extension processes:
- Your license key and license activation identifier.
- A device label containing the Extension name and browser user-agent information.
- License status and the last validation time.
This information is transmitted securely over HTTPS to our Cloudflare Worker license-validation endpoint and to DodoPayments as necessary to activate, validate, deactivate, and manage the license. Scraped LinkedIn data is not sent with these requests.
5. Third-party services
- LinkedIn: The Extension reads supported LinkedIn pages displayed in your browser after you initiate scraping. Your use of LinkedIn remains subject to LinkedIn’s own terms and privacy policy.
- Cloudflare Workers: Used as a secure proxy for license activation and validation.
- DodoPayments: Used for checkout, subscription management, and license validation. Payment details are handled by DodoPayments and are not collected by the Extension. See the DodoPayments Privacy Policy.
6. Information we do not collect
- LinkedIn passwords, authentication cookies, or login credentials.
- Payment-card or bank-account details.
- Browsing activity outside the LinkedIn pages supported by the Extension.
- Analytics, advertising identifiers, or tracking data.
7. Data sharing
We do not sell scraped data. We do not transfer scraped LinkedIn data to our servers or to advertising platforms, data brokers, or information resellers. License-related information is shared only with the service providers described above as necessary to provide subscription and license functionality, or when disclosure is required by law.
8. Security
License-related transmissions use HTTPS. Scraped data remains in Chrome local storage unless you choose to export it. No method of electronic storage is completely secure, so you should protect exported files and your browser profile appropriately.
9. Chrome Web Store Limited Use
The use of information received from Chrome APIs adheres to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Information is used only to provide or improve the Extension’s single, user-facing purpose.
10. Your responsibilities and choices
You control when scraping starts and which results you export. You are responsible for using the Extension and exported information lawfully and for obtaining any permissions or consents required for your intended use.
11. Children’s privacy
The Extension is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when the Extension’s practices or applicable requirements change. The revised policy will show a new “Last updated” date.
